Recorded December 10th, 2025

The Hospital at Home Users Group, in partnership with the American Academy of Home Care Medicine, is pleased to present our latest webinar for hospital and system leaders interested in learning about the opportunities and challenges associated with providing acute care in the home.

Nurses are linchpin clinicians in many Hospital at Home (HaH) programs, and this session explored nursing’s multi-faceted role across different HaH models. Moderated by Mandy McGowan, RN, Director of Home Care Services at UW Health, the discussion featured nursing leaders from NYU Langone Home Hospital, Kaiser Permanente Northern California Advanced Care at Home, and Mass General Brigham Home Hospital.

Panelists offered a field-informed view of how nursing models support safe, high-quality acute care in the home. Drawing on their program experience, speakers explored how nursing roles, staffing structures, and interdisciplinary coordination enable 24/7 care delivery, while also addressing the workforce, operational, and clinical challenges inherent to Hospital at Home programs across waiver-based and ambulatory models.
