webinar | Just in Case: What to do if Congress Doesn’t Extend the AHCAH Waiver in 2024

Recorded: December 19, 2024

Focused education with lawmakers and regulators during the last year has made the needed AHCaH waiver extension by year’s end possible (some have said probable). Still, the extension’s prospects in the coming lame duck session are not certain.  In the absence of an extension (or even a delay), it will not be business-as-usual for most HaH programs.  With this contingency in mind, health systems and hospitals are considering one “just-in-case” alternative–restructuring their programs under an ambulatory payment model.

Tune into this webinar to learn more about what this option might look like and understand key considerations and potential administrative, billing, clinical and other changes that HaH programs may need to make.

webinar | The State of State Policy: Opportunities and Challenges for Hospital at Home

Recorded: June 24, 2024

While the national effort to extend the CMS waiver has been justifiably receiving a lot of attention, state policy can have important ramifications for HaH. State regulatory agencies are a major force shaping HaH–from permitting HaH development to determining what programs look like and can do. As HaH reimbursement evolves, regulatory changes may be on the horizon. Watch “The State of State Policy” to hear perspectives from panelists representing different states and stakeholder groups, including government, health systems, and advocates. Speakers discuss their experience navigating state regulations, elements of legislation that have spurred innovation, and how HaH programs can approach and engage (sometimes skeptical) state regulators.
